oil pressure gauge

Is the gauge mechanical or electrical? I read a thread where this was being debated.

It is definitely electrical. What is in serious doubt is if it is a "real" guage that truly measures oil pressure or if it's sender is preset to a certain pressure, 5 PSI, like every other Ford product including the Mustang family. To see the post on that search by my name....
