Hey guys, I'm on the tailend of my tonsil recovery so I'm still hanging at the house watching DVDs. Well I just watched another episode of Overhaulin' and they painted the car with a satin finish.

So here are some Qs:
How do you care for a satin or matte finished car? Can you wax it? Does it need to be waxed or polished?

Are satin and matte finishes different or just different names for the same thing?

Anyone here ever own a car with either finish?

Satin and matte finishes in automobile circles would prolly look the same, and I think it could be an awesome look. My favorite would be a set of satin/matted black Shelby Cobra racing stripes on a shiny black MM. Subtle...and very cool.

Yeah, one reason I was asking is I was thinking about if I ever repaint my 'Rauder I thought it might be cool to incorporate some satin some where in the paint job.
