"Availability: This title will be released on September 12, 2006. You may order it now and we will ship it to you when it arrives. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com."
:dunno:
May as well slip the date to the heart of the holiday shopping season!
That Gilmour gig on Leno was pretty slick, but the crowd really looked asleep during the mid to late song vocals. They woke up when David played his solos, though. That dude can rip it up. David Crosby was pretty funny, though, doing backup vocals. Who was that alongside with the backup vocals, Bob Eubanks? Them old rockers really still know how to rip it up. I think that Gilmour doesn't need the extra vocal baggage on tour, though. I found some of the backup vocals to be distractive. Partly because it was too noticable due to some off-key sideshows that occured early on in the performance. At the end, Gilmour was seen abandoning the strat in favor of an acoustic guitar. That would have been schweet to hear, like the 4th song attempt on SNL by U2 last year as they cut for closing commercials. These guys' tour will be one not to miss.
Hey, where's TTA? Is there anybody out there? Just nod if you can hear me...

That was not his finest hour. Gilmours voice sounded rough! This is part of the last show of the North American tour. I saw him at Radio City in NY on 4/5. He played his new album start to finish, though not in order.
Allow me to sum it up: The show was pure energy. A 3 hour auditory orgasm.

I thought so too, but I was glad to see him out there doing his thing. I didn't really get the wave thing when he played "On an island" that the crowd was doing. I don't know, I'd feel pretty ghey doing that. At no time during any song I've ever heard in my life have I felt the need to sway my arms up in the air and rock my body left to right while fluidly moving my neck with the rest of it.
Whats the word on PULSE DVD? did it really ship?

I also got the "Will ship around September" message.
Nobody did that wave crap at the show I went to. In fact, I really enjoyed the fact that everyone stayed in their seats excpet to applaud - until end.

If that's a reference to my username, I'm still around but in limited availability. I'm typing this from a public internet terminal at the Stockholm (arlanda) airport.
Pink Floyd content: I picked up the new Gilmour album to listen to while here. More comments later (some good, some not so...)
Marauder content:not looking forward to coming back to my Marauder. Will try to drive Trans Ams first in order not to begin to hate driving.

But you are a-wavin' and a-swayin your arms in your photo! Either you are very pale or you have white make-up on, too. Did anyone ever tell you you look like Marilyn Manson?

I guess "sooner than expected" means early July... I got my Pulse DVD today! Too bad it beat my new receiver which will hopefully be here by Friday but it still looks and sounds great. There is a higher bit rate audio option too :)
