Okay so most of us know the 2005+ mustang wheels are suppose to fit our cars, but as mclemore102 has stated he feels they stick out a little bit from the wheel well.
So does anyone know of a competent shop that could mill/grind off that little bit of the back of the wheel so it can fit correctly and still be safe?

I have swapped the rims from my 2006 Mustang GT and the rims from the Marauder. Not only do they fit fine, but the 18 in bullitt rims look great on the Marauder!

Only issue with that is that the holes are double drilled. The smaller hole needs the 'meat' that's left to hold the acorn portion of the nut. IMO machining off any of the backside of the mounting surface yields an acorn seat that isn't safe.

The 2005+ rims will fit PROVIDED the offset is that of the Marauder's rim ( or close to it ). As far a rim width, you should be able to go 9" easily if (as previously mentioned) the offset is correct.

As for me ... I went with the Ford Racing Performance Parts 18"x8.5" Bullitt rims. *Fit like a glove, with none of the mentioned stick-out.

Would not recommend that you do this; the flange thickness would be compromised as well as the depth of the stud hole taper.

+3 Not a good idea to remove material from a high stress area.

I would also advise against grinding material off of the rear of the Wheel.

I believe RR/Suki had custom wheels made that were 10" wide w/ a 50MM offset.

Does anyone know of any inexpensive steel wheels 15" x 8/9" with the correct offset and backspacing that would be close to fitting for drag radials?
