I have searched for the past half hour, and have not gotten a definate answer on the best way to install the Front Sway Bar.

Do I need to remove the Springs to install the SB?

Any help is appreciated.

No. Not even close. Get your MM up in the air and examine your OEM sway bar's instalation. The upgrade uses a tad more space, but doesn't require anything more than switching out what you see. BTW, be sure to lube the frame bushings generously.

Thanks Mac.

Which is the PREFERRED method of lubricating the Bushings? Marine Grease or Teflon Tape?

Ummm...Teflon tape? That's a new one on me. I used wheel bearing grease, maybe I'm too much old school?

I don't remember what lube I used. It was red. That's all I know, and came in a large tub.

Keep the springs on like Mac said, just make sure the thing isn't on backwards before tightening everything (Seriously...)

I installed mine while the wheels were on the ground, and a friend helping me.

IIRC the instructions from Addco recommended having the suspension under full load. I just shimmied (sp?) under there and started wrenching away.

Front and rear about and hour or so. I elected to lube the bushings with white lithium grease (spray). No sqeaks as of yet.

PM me if you need help.

Good luck!

Mike.

Check the sway bar end links while you are swapping the bar, you'll know by the feel if they are no good.

Did mine two weeks ago.
Take the front tires off, make sure the front suspension is under load with your jack stands, and remove and replace the SB.

It looks like this Satruday will begin the MM Transformation.

Front and Rear Sway Bars, and Rear Control Arms.

Perhaps next weekend, Cut Front Springs, and the Rear Lowering Modification.

Hopefully my S/C will be here to have installed by the CAM Meet.

Sorry Haggis. I got my Acronyms mixed up. I meant the Cleveland EAM Meet at Barry's June 9-11th.

Guess I need to stop drinking when I'm typing.

Looks like one ride back to the hotel after dinner made all the differance!

Enjoy!

Actually, YES! It's amazing how just couple of inexpensive-ish mods can COMPLETELY change the ride of this car.

From DR right now:

Front Sway Bar - $160
Rear Sway Bar - $160
Rear Control Arms - $375
-----
Total - $695 + Shipping & Tax
