I was wondering if you guy's at Colex Inc could make dash gauge trim rings like the ones shown in the pic of the S55 interior???
I know many members here have stated interest in such a product, and they would also fit Crown Vics and Marquis with the same dash.
Just an idea for you to make more money from us :)

go to your local body shop.
buy some 3/16" chrome stick-on trim.
scuff it with scotch brite for the aluminum look.
scuff it and paint it with model paint color of your choice.
Have fun.

OK.
To everyone who wants this, send me your dash face and I'll stick stickers on it. The cost will be $500 plus shipping!
No really, if someone wants to send me one, I'll do it free and we'll see how it is. Then, after I know the PITA factor, I'll establish a price and start doing them.
Deal?

A once peice machined overlay would look nicer IMO. I know what you are talking about, and yes it would work, but it might not look like a single peice - although I would love to see pics if you've done it. Knowing the material though, it'd come out nice but be three seperate rings.
I'd be interested in a single machined piece as well. :) Especially with our gauge faces diffrent colors than the cluster background it'd be a nice touch!
EDIT: OK, I'm looking at the pics more and yeah that owuld look pretty good. :) Now I gotta think about how that one peice design would look, the gauges may not be close enough together for that to be nice. I'll have to look at my gauges again. :)

The picture ^ shows three separate rings.
I agree, a flat, thin billet piece for a full overlay might be nice.
I have coated guage faces with carbon fiber-look vinyl and they come out nice (takes TONS of patience). I don't see why it couldn't be done in any color.
I think, the best 'S55' look might be to paint it red, then apply the trim rings per the picture above.

Those rings are already part of our Instrument Cluster.
Get a paint brush and some silver paint and you can paint them too !!!
