300 A : full-sized spare, gas lid release inside, clock in dash, no traction control

300B: "rental sized" spare, no gas lid release inside, no clock, traction control

No clock? Is it now in the radio, instead of the middle of the dash?I would have liked the heated seats and traction control, but I fell in love with this car in Aug. and bought it. I live in Illinois and the traction control would have been nice, but I have driven in this state for a long long long time and this was no problem. Just slow down. I had a 2000 montie with heated seats, but hardly used this option. I did like the moon roof on the montie.

Another minor difference is that the 300B does not have speaker grills on the rear deck and the 300A does.
I really kind of wanted the A model living in Florida, but my concern was that the early models have been sitting on the lot for quite a while now with minimal attention....not good for black paint.
The car does not seem to accelerate as quickly with Traction Control on. I find myself reaching down to turn it off when wanting to play. This my just be my imagination, but I don't think so.
Can anyone else elaborate on this???

The car is awesome ...whichever model you end up with!!!!

First thing the wife noticed on the new one was the missing pockets on the front of the seats. But she really needs traction control, believe me. I've fixed her wet weather positraction driving customization jobs before.

I opted for a 300B because I wanted the Traction Control and also bought the heated seats that were not available on the 300A. A or B Black, Blue or Silver they are by far the coolest car on the road. John:up:

I forgot to mention, it is a Canadian model with kph instead of mph on the speedo, also have cd changer and trunk organizer. Did I mention that I love this car

All Canadian models had traction control.

Something just made me chuckle. Those of us who bought the 300A cars, i.e. very early owners, had no idea there would be a 300B with fewer accessories (or cheaper window stickers) until we started comparing who got what in which car, and for how much. There was never any formal explanation of it from L/M that I have read.

A is not better than B, and I have already started recontenting my 300B #3 silver birch MM.

300 A : full-sized spare, gas lid release inside, clock in dash, no traction control

300B: "rental sized" spare, no gas lid release inside, no clock, traction control

Just to "stir the pot of confusion" a little more...

I have a 2004 300A...and I "do not" have : A full sized spare, a gas lid release, or an in dash clock.

I do however have traction control.

A P71 is a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. The VIN code in 2003 is the same (M75), regardless of it having either package. For 2004, it is M79.

I have seen some members modify their e-brake for auto release and added the locking gas door. I have a 300B and an added full size spare.

A 2004 300A is equal to a 2003 300B get the picture.
There were no 300B's made in 2004. So most 2004's
are the same as 2003 300B's regarding equipment, etc.
Except I do have a under the hood light on mine.
