Does anyone know a site where I can find out the price of a car that sold in the 60's or tell me what a 66 GTO sold for new? I need this for a class. Thanks

Those numbers look very appealing; but back then it was "real" money. I bought a 1971 Chevy Malibu for $3150. Monthly payments were $95 (36 months, I think). That was about 18% of my gross monthly pay at the time. Probably closer to 25% of my net. By the time I moved on to my 1975 Charger SE, the prices had more than doubled to $6750. The 1981 Buick Regal was $9500. Well you all know where it went from there ..... ;)
