Looks similar in spirit to the Ariel Atom. Looks like a lot of fun. I bet it generated a lot of excitement up at Alice's.

Wow, drop a Ford Focus Zetec engine and 5spd in the back of that thing and it'd be a nice little ride.
Oh wait, I'm missing the point. ;)
Somehow it reminded me of an electric Caterham 7 or other Lotus 7 replica.
It's cool what these guys are doing, and I've seen some shows with all the EV guys that go drag racing.
Once nice thing about an electric motor is all the torque is available instantly after 0rpm.
I doubt the sound factor is too appealing though, fast or not one must wonder what it's like to drive a Dremel multi-tool. Still, nothing like a sewing machine with 4 wheels that will do 12s. ;)
LOL, ok enough my my bashing EV's. :)
They need to get batteries right before EV's become truly feasible, and by batteries I mean where the heck are the fuel cells that are supposed to be the next great thing?
Electric motors will propel a car, and do so pretty well. But batteries are too heavy and don't last long enough at this point. Great for quick trips in the city, but not for a long commute. That car looks fun for a few trips around the track, but it'd probably run outta charge at the 24hrs of LeMans...
If they could make it a kit car I could see that being a fun project for the car guy who likes electronics and technology too.
