Ford ALMOST utilized this concept for production with the 1985 GT 5.0 Mustangs...only with a two speed accessory drive (TSAD).
It was like an underdrive pulley system at high rpm but provided full charging, water pump, and A/C performance at idle.
They even show it in my 1985 Mustang service manuals!
It is a neat idea for a centrifugal supercharger...
