Went to the dealer today,Asked to have front end done to specks posted here after just having tires installed.Gave him the print out to carfaxers specks,Service manager said he would see what they could do.Also had oil change done while I was there and told them to change the wiper blades too.
After 2 hrs told me they were done and gave me the bill,$48.00 just for the wiper blades and I asked them for the print out for the front end.Manager said the printer was broken but they did what the sheet said that I gave them.I am not sure but I thought that the camber bolts needed to be cut to meet carfaxers specks,They told that it was no problem.

Some MM's need modifications some don't.

You must have received the best wiper blades in the country !
I trust that the dealer's alignment equipment was not broken..unlike the printer. I think your MM deserves documentation, unless you have a stellar relationship with your dealer. Just my 2 cents !

You got boned big time on the wiper blades. Based on that I wouldn't trust that service dept, period.

I'd give $48 for 2 pairs of those old wimpy wipers mine came with stock. They were pretty much useless in the rain, but they looked so cool. (Wimpy wiper post for #1500, am I cool or what)

The $48 blades are made of unobtanium and a bargain. Probably installed for free, also!

I know how to change wiper blades but thought I would throw them some money on the other end because they have been great on the warranty work and I have 300a that has had alot of problems that have been fixed by them. But I cant be sure of the alignment without the printout,I have to take there word.My warranty runs out this month for the 3yr 36 on May 31st but I have premium ext 50,000 or 5yr only have 27000 miles. Also asked about drivers side head tick for tha 2nd told it was normal.

Bagpiper,
I was never happy with the OEM wipers/wiper arms on my 2004 MM since i bought it on 06/05/04. On my last visit to my dealer for an oil&filter change, i asked about new wipers. They installed new Motorcraft wiper balde and wiper arm assemblies. Now they work just fine. Why wouldn't Lincoln-Mercury install this quality from the factory on a $ 36,800 car? They only charge me $ 30.00 including labor, which I thought was a lot better then doing them myself.

Why wouldn't Lincoln-Mercury install this quality from the factory on a $ 36,800 car? I think the original blades were a failed experiment. All '03 CV/GM/MMs came with those thin blades. The '05 CV/GMs came with conventional blades. I got my car in September of '02, and changed the thin blades for conventional ones in October...no problems since.
