A month or two ago, I entered a contest for scholarship money at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale (http://www.artinstitutes.edu/fortlauderdale/). I had one week notice and it was quite a task considering my schedule at the time.

All in all I entered:

-Letter to the deciding committee and outline of all of my work.
-A 500-word essay on why I applied for online media and marketing.
-A portfolio (on CD-ROM) with two photos that represent my attempts at service marketing (my photography of course), two persuasive essays, one from speech and debate the other from a power-point project for Environmental Science class.
-A 250-word essay outlining my goals and motivation for the scholarship.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->- <!--[endif]-->Resume stating educational background and extracurricular resume.

<!--[if !supportLists]-->- <!--[endif]-->Letter of recommendation.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->- <!--[endif]-->Letter stating that my work is fully my accomplishment.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->- <!--[endif]-->Current high school transcript.

I organized the material in less than 48 hours and just today recieved a certificate awarding me $5000 (making me $6000 richer in scholarship money from contests at this school) and first place in the contest!

If any of you all want to see the work just let me know and I'll e-mail it to you...it wasn't 100% perfect but it was all original!
