When you find out you have 3 nails in one of your rear tires and no one is able to patch it and or replace it. I've called just about every tire place minus FLM dealerships and no one can do anything or replace the one but of course I would replace both rear tires and I even switched around sizing 235 and 255 and the only thing I can get is Goodyear Wrangler 4x4 tires  Hopefully I can get ahold of my friend that has his stock wheels/tires from his 2000 stang gt and use those for the mean while until I can find something this week. If anyone around the MD area has a spare 245 kdws the can part with I'd be forever in your debt :bows: or buy ya some drinky drinks  along with purchasing the tire/'s from ya.

Yeah I just looked and saw that and I would have to pay $160 in shipping to get them here by next which if I can't figure out anything by the end of the day I guess I'll have to break down to fork out extra dough.

Wal-Mart....Tire plug kit....Do it yourself.

Might not be the BEST solution, but if you are going to replace the tires anyway, why not just plug this one for now? I keep one of those plug kits in all of my cars, just for emergencies. They mess the cords up in the tires somewhat, but it will be safe enough to get you around until your new tires come in. Then, you could just keep that old tire around for another spare in case something bad happens again.

Wouldn't your spare do for a few days? Discount was showing free shipping to me on the Nittos I was looking at yesterday. Perhaps they had them a lot closer to me than you. Don't know, anyway best of luck and hope it works out. Dennis

I took the tire to a family friend who is a manager of a Gemni Goodyear and he said he wouldn't even try to plug it with 3 holes at once and he thinks of me as one of his own kids and if he wouldn't do then I know their is a safety factor involved. If it could be plugged I wouldn't be here pulling my hair (whats left of it) out lol.

Dennis:) Yeah I know but the way UPS ground works around here I wouldn't see them until after labor day. Plus I'm working with limited funds right now, just got back from vacation at the beach (thank god it went flat while I was around home) and every bill that I owe is do this up coming week. I ended up going to tirerack.com and just getting 2 235/50 kdws for $167 shipped 2 day by FedEx, the other rear tire was getting too blad in the center tread area anyways so for a little more than just one 245/55 I got 2 new rears and I'll just have to deal with the speedo being off by several mph until I can get my hands on some 255/55 kdw2's :D

Dennis You mean that little chocolate frosted thing in my trunk?   Yeah I put it on to move the car around at my shop and I started to look at it cause it looked like it was low and yeah it was a little less than 30psi so I just went and pumped it up. I just need it on to move my car in and out of my shop when I have installs and store it here at night until the new shoes come in.
Thanks for your help though

You do have other options besides the OEM tires. I posted these a little while ago somewhere else. Give them a look.

They are KUmho Ecstas...245/50 WR 18s...$123 at Tirerack.

Down here they do not do plugs anymore, they do some kind of a patch on the inside of the tire. Described as like valconizing(?) I wish I knew more about it and almost did as I had a screw in a rear, fortunately it did not go thru the tire casing. Dennis

My friend lgave me his old 17x8 mustang wheels so I can have 2 real rear tires cause I know if I drove with the dounut on it could mess the axle up. The tires that are on the wheels are 245/45-17, I already put them on the rear for right now and drove up the street to put some air in them. As I figured the traction, abs and brake light came on and my speedo was way off, should I put the 235/50-18s on the rear and have the 245/45-17s on the front? I would think I want the wider tire in the rear but if putting the 235/50-18s on the rear will make the t/c, abs and brake light go off because of the height increase then I'm all for it.
