View Full Version : Drag Strip Day at St.Thomas May 27

The London Area Mustang Club (LAMC) is hosting a Drag Day at St.Thomas Drag Strip in Sparta. This Saturday, May 27. Gates open at 10am and racing is from 11am-4pm. Cost is $30. $10 crew/spectator. I went last year when LAMC hosted it and had a great time. Got about 10 runs in with time for many more. 15.2 was my best stock time. Wesman ran against me and beat me by almost a full second:o

Wish I had seen this earlier... I've been MIA for a while :rolleyes:

Did you end up going? If so, how'd you run?

It was 26, with a humidex closer to 35-ish here in TO... Not ideal for a day at the track, but it would've been fun, all the same :burnout:

Yep I went. It was hot and humid and some of the really fast drivers were complaining about the track.
I ran consistant 15.2's @ 94mph which is the same as last year. I should have got that 4.10 and tune:cry:
The only other Mercury was a 86 Capri
:lol: A Smart car showed up and ran 22.6 :lol:

Damn... You're car is bang on consistant! I think almost every time you go down the track it's a warm day, and you're running 15.1 - 15.2. You should sign up for the brackets! ;)

Yeah, I wanted to that day but the brackets were only for the Mustangs and Camaro/Firebirds.:bs:

Any Marauders from the area planning on meeting up with any of the Crown Vic crew for the Ford plant tour and St. Thomas dragstrip on Friday June 16th? I am looking forward to running there. I assume that they have race gas at the track?
