My son, Michael went today to the Marine base at Paris Island. He took the call of duty. He believes in his country and is willing to defend it. He is in "basic training' for the next 13 weeks then he will go to infantry training for an additional 10 wewks. He had a Ricer but drove my Marader in Indianapolis and SSHSIII (he is about 100+ lbs lighter, b:beer: etter than a carbon fiber hood!!)

It takes a hell of a man to go to Parris Island in May. Your son is in good hands I went to PI in the summer. Its been 16 years but I remember the sand fleas and mosquitos like it was yesterday.....

In this day and age of America bashing your son goes and joins the Marines????

What is he, some kind of Patriot or something??? :flag:

Seriously tho...Hats off to Mike for wanting to defend our country. Regardless of what the media says, the US of A is the greatest country in the world and is fortunate to have folks like Mike who beleive our land and principles are worth defending.

We may not be a perfect nation, but if you beleive there is a better country to live in, MOVE THERE. Otherwise, always question the powers that be, but in the end, support our leadership, and especially our troops. They don't choose the enemy, they just dish em a big ol plate o Whoop A$$ when told too!

Kick butt and Take names Mike!!! And Thanks!

Your son Michael is in the best of hands. Joining the Marine Corps was one of the best things I ever did in my life. PI will challenge him all the way, but as all former Marines will attest, he will meet and fullfill his task and that is what makes all of us truly proud of him. Your son, :flag: A U.S. Marine:flag:

YOU MUST WRITE HIM EVERY DAY. Mail was the only thing that got me through boot camp, till I got my head out of my butt. Then came RECON and UDT, Rangers, French Foreign Legion exchange TAD, Lebinon, Al Haig's body guard duty, and all the cool stuff thats classified, GOD I wish I could do it all over again. It turned me into the sucess I have enjoyed today and your tax dollers have been repayed many times as I am always ready to do whats right for anyone and lived with the results good or bad, but everyone answers my phone calls, even my competerors. I am so lucky. Tom

Glassman, people like your son are why I believe we are going to survive as a nation and ultimately defeat the islamofascists. You should be very proud. God bless him and your whole family.

I joined the Army in June of 1990 (during Dessert Sheild). Not joining the Marine corps instead is one of my biggest regrets. And yes, by all means, send as many letters as possible!!!

Glassman..... put a stick of chewing gum in every letter you send. When they strip you of everything, a lettter and a piece of gum is the greatest.
