This weekend my windshield cracked almost in half from a light spray of water. It wasn't that hot (ambient temp ~75) but it popped instantly. No cracks or chips previously. The dealers sub the work out and the local glass dealer says he can only get blue trim shade on the upper 1/4 portion of the glass. He told me they don't make them any other way. :bs: I checked, they do... Any Cammers know a good glass dealer in the area?:hmmm:

Drop a line to Cheeseheadbob. He just had his replaced and is quite happy with it.

Take the dark blue shaded windshield which was original on the 2003 300A.
The dot-matrix windshield on the 2003 300B and 2004 is crap!:down:

Ford will doing anything to save a buck!

I have a 300A and have the dot matrix windshield. Found a 1ft crack in it today :( garage kept, has not been out of the garage in a week GRRRR

PNag number for the windshield(OEM) is NAG-DW01406GBY

The windshield is actually "green" tint and was manufactured by PPG.
Take the dark blue shaded windshield which was original on the 2003 300A.
The dot-matrix windshield on the 2003 300B and 2004 is crap!:down:

Ford will doing anything to save a buck!

Nothing it's a matter of preference.
The 300A used a windshield with a dark band of tint across the top.
I also have the dot matrix, but prefer the dark band of tint.

Anybody who has a Dot-Matrix windshield in a 2003 300A has had the
windshield replaced!!! or it's 2003B.....that's how it is folks.

Maybe your 300A was one of the last one's built and they already
had run out of the "standard dark tint" windshields? Decontented model.
Who knows the answer????
The first "ding" I get...and the "dots" go....BIG TIME!

dot matrix lounds like the movie. You bending over backwards to dodge the rays that are shooting at you.

Ya know I pondered this for weeks, stupified over the choice, Baby Blue tint or Macho Dot Matrix.....just stupified.... so I had a 6" wide band of blue tint installed over the Dot Matrix and now I can drive on both sides of the street. Dennis;)

My 2003 300A has both the blue shade and the dot matrix. I got a 1 inch ding from a rock on the highway but didn't want to replace it it for fear that the insurance company would use a different aftermarket windshield.

What is the part number for the 300A windshield and how do I make sure that they use it? Must I take it to the dealer and have them replace it or can I go to where the insurance company sends me.

They do pay for this fix without going into the deductable correct?

You have the right to request a factory (Carlite) windshield.

Hey guys, the OEM replacement for my windshield was a "green" tint PPG product. The model number from PPG is DW 1506. Maybe because my MM was such an early build, Feb '02, they used a different windshield. Any ideas....

There at least three different windshield part #'s for the Marauder.
The #'s are by build date.

I bought a new old stock original wins held, and after freighting all the way accross the damn country, the delivery guy "corner rolled" the box it came in 60 yards through the parking lot to my office and dropped and broke it 10 feet from me. Idiot.

Needless to say, I didn't sign for it. He threw it in my dumpster.
