As for mods, a Marauder airbox, 80mm MAF and a tune will bring decent power. Try the Crown Vic site as its all about your ride.

I had a 99 p-71 with steeda u/d / 70mm t.body/ 1 step colder plugs/ steeda plenum spacer/ 2 1/2" full exhaust w/flowmasters/ m.m. mass air and box/ ADTR ported upper plenum/ excal 2 and a compucar wet kit with a 80 shot. It was very impressive. I am sure you are already a member of crownvic.net if you are on here. If not check it out. I was a member there before my m.m. Keep wathin the classified section. I bought almost everything used. BECAREFUL! Once you start you cant stop.
