I hate it when they do this less than 3 months after I bought my car. Mercury just opened 0% financing on Marauder.... Doh.

Only for 3 years,right?
2.9 for 4
3.9 for 5
I got 3.9 on mine so I don't feel bad.

Do you think they are offering 0% financing due to the fact of sluggish car sales and they have to do this to compete in the market?
I see that on other mercury 02 models they are offering 0% financing and no payments til 04 .....but this is ONLY on 02's.
I hate it when they do offers like that too Logan .... and only 3 months after you bought the car.
Can you combine the 0% with the $2000 rebate?

Not the "official" $2000 cash back, but then again, I know dealers writing deals just over dealer invoice, which you can get at the 0% financing...
can you go back and get the rebate, since i just bought mine and missed it or is a lost cause?

Gents,
I just got my Marauder yesterday. I had been working with my dealer and knew something good was on the horizon. He called me about the 0% financing. It still didn't bite. I looked at the Crown Vic and Grand Monkey incentives and thought just wait..........
Well I bought at the "Right" time. "Right" is always relative to your point of view. If you have the resources and don't care about price then when the MM hit the market this summer it was the "Right" time. I can only imagine as the year progresses and the stock market is still in the cellar more incentives will come out. I was originally going to hold out until Mar 04 for the silver MM and heated leather seat. But for me the $2000 made it the right time now.
Sorry for such a long post.

I am confused.
So you can get the $2000 cash back, plus the financing deal, plus about $600 over invoice.
i talked to mercury today and they only told me the incentive is 0% only!

b4z and all,
Here is how to find out if your region has a cash back incentive. I went to the mercuryvechicles.com and chose Marauder. Once you get to the page showing the Marauder doing a burn-out go to the top and click on "Offers/Events" it is a drop down menu. Click on Local Offers and choose 2003 then Marauder then your zip code. It will list all the incentives that are available in your area.
For me I got the Marauder for 2% over invoice, which was $32,893 (I have the 6 disc CD changer as my only option).
I received the $2000 cash back from Mercury.
I also received $500 cash back from Mercury for Military appreciation month here in NC and SC. I am not sure if it is nation wide or regional.
I got my own financing through Pentagon Federal Credit Union. 4.9% for up to 60 months.
So I get a Marauder for $32893 minus $2500 (cash back) equals $30393.
Hope this helps. If in your area Mercury is not offering the $2000 cash back you can play with the zip codes and see if you could drive to a location that is offering it. My zip code is 28540, which if you put in will tell you $2000 cash back.
I am in SC so it is probably the same for me. I'll check. Thanks.
i think it is very unfair to give rebates according to where you live.i didn't even know it was done.everyone should be treated equally no matter where you live!

I visited my dealer today. They do not have a $2000. rebate here. They have the 0% 3yr financing though. I wish I had that! :-) Oh well... I don't regret getting the first one in my area. They only had it a couple of hours before it was mine. They had a $3000. markup on it which they waived. They said it was because I've bought three other cars there. The second one they got is still there after 6 weeks with the markup on it.
It is a $2000 rebate if you don't take their financing deal. If you take their lower interest financing(0% for 36 months or 3.9% for 60 months) then it is $1000 cashback.
I was thinking I was going to be able to get the car for around 30K but that is not possible unless the dealer were to sell it below invoice.
