lunch meeting at Safford LM

Dear Gang, just back from lunch at Safford LM, They are jazzed about our club and are giving us more spaces for the slugs that are too lasy to call Andy at 1-888-848-5997. they will not be getting their free plack for showing up in the event.
They want us to mark our Cam calender for next June, Fathers Day Saturday because this is an annule event and we have shown enough enthusiasm to be included for next year.
I also talked to Charlie Hadden the Parts Manager and secured at cost parts for Cammer's (can I get a HOOYA) and I tried them out and the price was indeed lower than one of our members here. (no bad mouthing implied) I want all who show up to put the pressure on Safford LM to become a regular vender to help out Logan and this site for helping us to stay togther as a club. Tom

Since that works for me I called Andy and let him know I too will be there.

Here's the info from another related thread. The Father's Day reference is for June 2007 (next year). This year it's Saturday, 17 June.


To all, Safford LM in Silver Spring Maryland has invited the CAM's to their classic car meet on June 17th. Last year they got 100 people to show up and 25 clssic Merc's. This year they will have a 10 peice Jazz-Blues band, hotdogs and hamburgers, moon bounce for the kids, the largest American flag in Maryland will be raised,seperate area for Marauder judging with trophys to the winners for best in show. Safford has been very mod friendly to me and employees "mature" technections that have been good at telling me what I should do without charging me. Send an e-mail to Andy at Safford to reserve your spot in the Marauder paddock at a-golds1@dealeremail.com I told him 10 people would show up and up to 25 in the area are possiable and he was flipping out at the thought of so many Marauders in one spot. It is easy to find from Baltimore and Va. on Rt. 29 in Silver Spring off of the Beltway or I-95, just look them up on the web.

What will your route of travel be? CheezyBob and I will be hooking up with Joe to Maraud in as a group.

That goes for anyone else out there. So far the plan is, I will be leaving northeast Md at around 7:30 - 8am to meet up with Bob at around 8:30 on I-95 S/B. If you want to set something up, post here or pm me.

Ole Defyant Marauder has just be waxed and is silky smooth shiney! Tomorrow the interior, glass and engine get some lovin. It's been toooo long! :(

I'm going around 495, from south VAn Dorn, I'm trying to leave by 830.

Does anyone know if they're doing any closures on 495 that'll ruin my trip? I'm going west towards 270, so won't be crossing the wilson bridge, but will pass by the springfield interchange...
