It was a great day for the Safford Lincoln-Mercury Celebration. There was a very good turnout of CAMarauders and new recruits for the MM.Net. Safford did it up well with free food and drink all day, terrific raffle prizes, a fantastic gift bag with dash plaques and goodies, and best in class and runner up plaques for the Marauder, Mercury and Lincoln categories. It was a fine day and our own GordonB came home with a prize/plaque for his DTR.
Of course, lots of us came home as "DTR" after 6 hours in the sun. :D

That was a dam good time! A car show with no entry fee, free food off the grill, all you can drink (I drank about 6 bottles of water!), about 6 raffles, live band over 14 Marauders..... What am I forgetting?
Oh... then Toms place for a little more hang out time with good food and drinks. Nice shop Tom! I can not wait to see whats next for that beast of yours!
Mac, CheeseheadBob has a badgeless grill - and it looks great, on his car.
Good times had by all.

Here's my pics, been a long day so I'm too lazy at the moment to parse out some, click the link to see them all. I may have missed a few cars if anyone left...

And like mentioned earlier, I missed the after-show festivities at Tom's place, but sounded like a continuation of a great time!

It's Sunday morning on my porch and the gold fish is begging for food. I just put more ice on the keg so my day plan is set. Thanks for all who showed up, and I have a plan for next year already. The naighbors loved the 4 Marauder burn out.
All the drunks got a safe ride home and the kids made bugs swim in beer. fireworks till 11pm and then it was time for anouther round of steakdogs on the grill and Margaritas in the shaker. My wife actually made some new friends. I had fun at the meet but I enjoyed standing under my tree in the front yard with you all and drinking beer looking like "King of the Hill" the best. I will host anouther CAM meet any time, I had fun.
Now who has the pictures of the Marauder cookies my daughter Mel made? Tom.

I'm glad I finally got to come out to a "CAM" meet and put some faces with names. It was great seeing the members I already knew and getting to meet others for the first time. Hope we can have another killer turnout like we did at the show for future CAM meets. It's one thing to hear and read about the guys who have the trilogy but its nothing like actually seeing it on the engine and listening to it. It makes me want one a whole lot more now :)

Tom, Thanks again for organizing the CAM-Safford Car show.
It was fun to see everyone, meet some new folks, and check out the cars.
Your S/C Cobra motor swap is very unique and very impressive!
Safford has a nice show with good grilled 'eats' and sodas.
Plus nice door prizes...the $500 & $1,000 door prizes got my attention!
Thanks for the after show get together at your place.
Your 'green parking lot', beer, brauts, MM cookies and hospitality were greatly appreciated.
I also liked your test drag strip!!!:D
P.S. Thanks to Charlie and Mike for posting the great pictures.

The more I hear about it the after-event sounded like a blast. An all-day Marauder event!
I'm gonna toss this in here as a blurb for now until I get word things are completely and 100% finalized (99.9% now), but I made a mention to something on Saturday and let's just say we may have another Marauder in the family.
Oh and BTW, thanks to Joe for the hookup and his friend Chris for stopping by to drop off a pair of CVPI steelies, I'll be putting these to some really good use once I wrap them in some DR's. :D

Tom, there's a separate thread on the Marauder Cookies. Check in the CAM forum or search on "cookies". :DYeah thanks my 2 cookie pictures didn't come out as good as the others. :( I wish i did take picts or video the departing events! I was too busy trying to let the smoke clear so I could leave myself. Seeing and hearing a trilogy burnout was way better than the videos posted. Thanks tom for the dogs, cookies, and gatorade! nothing beets a free entry into a carshow like winning $50 in amc goodies. Only thing I wish was better thas the burgers, I kept getting pink ones.

Wow ... I guess I missed out on this event. I just moved here two (2) months ago and Safford is less than 40 seconds away from my apartment.
