I've read a few past post where this cleared up alot of room to work.
Could someone give me the walk through?
I'm gonna need some working room soon.....

It's kind of a pain but it's well worth it when you see how much more working room it gives you.

Pull the wipers off first. Be careful not to mess up the little retaining latches or lose the keyways. I glued the keyways in the wiper arms with blue loctite so I won't lose them. The retaining latches are tricky little boogers. Gotta raise up the arm first, then pry the latch open. Then you can let the arm down and it will hold the latch in place so you can pull the arm off the shaft.

Then pull the top cover. It has several philips screws, two push-in plugs, and about a half-dozen clips that hold it to the bottom half. Unplug the windshield washer hose and the plug to the motor. The top cover will come out with a little bending action to get it between the hood hinges.

Then there are about a half-dozen bolts holding the bottom half in place. Take those out and the rest of the wiper motor housing/cowl cover assembly will lift right out.

Rich, Charlie pulled the cowl, etc. for his Cam cover install. When the genius from Ft, Myers and the elves did my Trilogy install they did not remove the mentioned pieces. Good luck my friend. Dennis:beer:

Yeah, Dennis, I can see the lack of need for the Trilogy, but I'm doing the valve covers at the same time and figure I could use the extra space!

Besides... I got big hands.

In Defyants thread, he was able to better install the VC's especially the passenger side.

I'd imagine the extra room will facilitate all the work I need to do.

There are vacuum lines that need to be connected behind the blower. I tried getting my hands back there with the cowl installed, the only thing I accomplished was getting my hands cramped and cut up. Pulled the cowl off, it freed up all the space I needed and then some.

See here, during my install:

It takes about fifteen minutes to pull off but its worth the extra work if you have large hands.

The first pic was in my "Making of a badazz Marauder" thread, the second, I found. Check that thread out before you start or in the process, I think any difficult area were explained and pictures taken for all to see. Good luck..

Be extra careful with the removal and reinstallation. I think when my wiper motor was replaced last year, the fastener closest to the passenger windshield corner broke the corner off of the cowl piece (about a 1" x 1" square right at the fastener). It was discovered today at the service department when they removed it again for my second wiper motor. The tech said that he drill a weep hole in a cup area that was causing water to puddle and possible to short out the wipers.
