The August 2006 issue of MotorTrend just showed up in the mail. This issue has an 8-page spread (p 44-52) on the Dodge Challenger R/T concept car. Beautiful !!! :D It also has lots of pics & facts from the 1971 movie "Vanishing Point" and Kowalski (i.e. actor Barry Newman). The article details the features of the new Challenger and does a side by side comparison to the 1970 Challenger in the movie. The new Challenger weighs in at about 4200 pounds and will have the 6.1 L Hemi rated at 425 HP, operating butterflies on the hood, and possibly the full width taillight.
The article indicates that D/C execs haven't made up their minds yet on whether to go into production with the Challenger concept MotorTrend wants opinions to pass on to D/C folks. Here's your chance to provide support. :D
