View Full Version : Auto Theft rings
A large auto theft ring has been operating in Louisiana recently, according to my LEO family members, and taking cars made by the Chrysler Company, any late model make or model from 300's to vans. At least thirty members are known to be involved of which many have been captured. But not before dozens of cars were stolen. Apparently for parts.
We know that our MM's are on the hot list and at least one member has had his MM stolen. So maybe a review of security is in order. Be aware.

I have security covered; garaged always and a .45 handy for those that try to take it. I love it and WILL kill to keep it.

My 1996 GM w/ Perf Pkg was stolen. They found her a few weeks later stripped.:mad2:
It was a theft ring and found near a chop shop.
Took our notoriously corrupt police dept 2 years to bust them. Only after they got a new police chief and cleaned house!

No car is worth jail...or worse. It gets stolen, you file insurance claim, you buy another MM w/ the claim $$. You then STILL have a MM, AND get to sleep in your bed.

If a BG is in my house (garage IS included) I WILL NOT hesitate to pull the trigger on either my glock 31sf or my mossburg 500 w/ pistol grip and flash suppressor.
A dead BG cant be a witness in court, and will never get that close to my kids.

Oh yeah and:
A Castle Doctrine (also known as a Castle Law or a Defense of Habitation Law) is an American (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) legal concept arising from English Common Law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Common_Law)[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Doctrine_in_the_United_ States#cite_note-0) that designates one's place of residence (or, in some states, any place legally occupied, such as one's car or place of work) as a place in which one enjoys protection from illegal trespassing and violent attack. It then goes on to give a person the legal right to use deadly force to defend that place (his/her "castle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle)"), and/or any other innocent persons legally inside it, from violent attack or an intrusion which may lead to violent attack. In a legal context, therefore, use of deadly force which actually results in death may be defended as justifiable homicide (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justifiable_homicide) under the Castle Doctrine.
Castle Doctrines are legislated by state, and not all states in the US have a Castle Doctrine. The term "Make My Day Law" comes from the landmark 1985 Colorado statute that protects people from any criminal charge or civil suit if they use force – including deadly force – against an invader of the home.[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_Doctrine_in_the_United_ States#cite_note-1) The law's nickname is a reference to the famous line uttered by Clint Eastwood's character Harry Callahan (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Callahan_%28character%29 ) in the 1983 film Sudden Impact (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudden_Impact), "Go ahead, make my day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_ahead,_make_my_day)."
This legal doctrine concerning the rights of homeowners to bear arms for self-defense, was recently argued in the Supreme Court case of District of Columbia v. Heller (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/District_of_Columbia_v._Heller ) which addressed its relation to the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Amendment_to_the_United _States_Constitution).

The only thing separating the garage from the hallway my kids rooms are on is a laundry room.... its not about the car, its about his location. I dont need a judge or jury.

+1, and all should be aware that there are very few states with the "King Of The Castle" law. NYS is one of them, surprisingly. Keep in mind that even on a good shoot you are going to be sued by the family of the person you croaked. Ya know, he could have provided welfare benefits for years that you took away from them. So, you will probably lose the car anyway.

Kill the scumbags!! If they need to resort to stealing a car, then they are probably stealing from all of us in the form of wellfare, increased insurance rates, and our cars or breaking into our homes, killing peoples families or friends. I say kill them first before they get us law abiding citizens!! In any case they would be out of jail doing the same crimes. So if one comes to my home. He will be in alot of pain first before he dies. And it will not change my life but only the dirt bag. Weed out the week and stupid!!!

Castle Doctrine or not....as long as you say you were in fear of your life and "i heard him say he had a gun and he was going to kill my whole family" there wont be a jury around that will convict you. If you say you shot him to protect your car, you will be doing time. So as long as hes laying in a pool of his own blood, no one has any evidence that he didn't threaten to kill your whole family.

He was later charged with attempted murder by the DA office because the state of Maryland support the dirt bags here. The case went to trial and the officer was found not guilty....

NYS law applies to whole state which includes the 5 burroughs and surrounding socialist republic counties. It is just much more difficult to obtain a pistol permit there. It pays to know what will fly in your state. What works in say Texas is not going to happen in NYC.
