I'm back to surfing the net for mods, just like I did in my Marauder ownership days. This time for stuff to do to the F-150.

I've already ordered in stuff and rejected it as crap. Well, not actually crap, just I want to keep with the clean, blacked out look, and not duplicate logos on any view of the truck. I jumped off the bridge and bought a blacked out hitch receiver cover that lights up a Ford logo when you step on the brake... then decided it looked like crap because the tailgate has a Ford blue oval on it already...so I replaced it with a simple, black rubber cover cover. I then bought a led light bar for under the tail gate, promptly crapped the bed by buying a cheap knock off of what I should have bought (an Altec Line of Fire) and had to reorder it. The Line of Fire is waaay, cool, imo, seen it in pics on the F150 boards. There's one called Fire and Ice that acutally has white LEDS that come on with the back up lights.

Just spent hours looking for the right license plate frame and front plate. I'll probably ditch the front plate holder eventually, but for now it's to be a laser cut black plate with F-150 in mirror finish. The rear plate frame is a classic black Harley Davidson script frame with script logo in orange to compliment the stripes on the truck.

I am loving this!

Next week I head over to Atlanta for Custom Sun Control to deep tint the front windows. Then I get to show her off to Scott and Jason at Team and planning for serious mods begins. Definitely getting a rear sway bar, 4.56 gears, and a re-tune (need to figure out how to dyno a AWD truck). Toddster is going to upgrade the exhaust and add some more performance goodies from his shop. Meggamaxx gives her the once over, gonna upgrade the subwoofer, cabin speakers, maybe add navigation.

I'n not sure about lowering the truck, though I haven't ruled it out. I rather like the height.... with the AWD it's like a factory lift kit. There' s brakes to put on... a tonneau..

But the biggest decision, something I learned from the Marauder days, is to get serious about putting in a supercharger. The other, lesser mods can be done here and there, but I am committed to getting the money together so Scott and Jason can install a Trilogy kit my truck... and as soon as I can swing the expense, it will happen. There are at least two other SC kits out there for the 5.4L three valve, but Scott was very keen on the quality of the Trilogy kits he has installed on Marauders, and my trust in Scott's word is such that there is no decision to make here. Trilogy it is!!

I'll get some pics of the HD when I'm at Grand Muffler (gotta get the vanity shot next to Big Yellar!) and post them up.

Sure would be nice to have a blower on it for the Shooutout.;)

Do I get to drive this one, too?:D

Absolutely.

One thing about the SSR, it was a fast mofo. The blower will get the HD into the same horse power range as the SSR's 6.0L LS2, but the HD weighs 1,000 pounds more than the SSR. Oops! It will be interesting to see if AWD helps get the power to the ground.

I think, at best, I'll be able to give Big Yellar a good race, maybe some normally aspirated Marauders. But I think a stock SSR or a SC Marauder will eat my lunch easily.

That said, the SSR couldn't be raced, what with being a convertible and no roll cage. At least I can run the HD and bracket race.

Donny,

Check out the 06/07 harley section on the nhtoc.com site... The subject of dyno'ing the AWD Harley's came up. There's a fuse you can pull to disable the front transaxle apparently...
