ok i was doing a bit of late night movie watching and and noticed that every movie that came out in 05 and 06 had crown vics getting trashed smashed and bashed. and not just the movies tv shows IE (fear factor-nypd blue)it just told me that ford does not care...:o and it kinda makes me wonder if people in real life dont get the urge to bash in your vic..

Vics are a dime a dozen and cheep. Besides, it is free advertising for Ford.

BTW, did any blow up? I doubt it.

dukes of hazzard i seen one blow up...so if people see a vic get wrecked thats gonna make people buy it???

Crown vis are very cheap and easy to come by. Practically every NYC taxi cab is a Crown Vic. Only NYPD highway patrol, Patrol supervisors, and detectives use the crown vic, all other patrol cars are the Impala.
You also have to figure that the current body style Crown vic has been around since 1998 where as the Impala body style that is used for police cars has been around from 2000-2005, If they are going for realism, it would make more sence and cost less to use a car that looks new but can be up to 8 yrs old
