Too late !! I contributed several of my $ to the $132 Million that the movie made over this past weekend. The wife and I decided to go following the annual company picnic. It counts as quality time. :rolleyes:

My review: I enjoyed the show. :D I don't think that it completely measures up to the first "Pirates" movie. Sequels are often like that anyway. But, it was fun and I enjoyed it and I'll buy it and watch it again on DVD sometime. From a pure entertainment perspective, it held my interest especially the special effects and Davey Jone's character and crew. Just be prepared 'cause the last 10-15 minutes is a set-up for "Pirates 3" already in production.

Haven't seen it yet but have heard it's what the ninja sez about it. Really wanted to see it but have heard it's just that disjointed.

'Course the problem is that anything remotely average looks good compared to most movies offered nowadays. :( I remember liking SWIII just because it didn't inhale as vigorously as the first two. Then it hit me - it was just less crappy.

I hope it's at least entertaining - we were planning to go this weekend.

I really liked it. Comparing it to SW it is the Empire Strikes Back of the trilogy, dark with a buttload of charater development, that's why a lot of people don't like it, and it's the same reason why ESB is not the most favorite of the original SW trilogy.
