Isabel Marie was born yesterday at 0414 hrs 8 lbs. 4 oz. 20" Her entry was rather dramatic.

We had a 4 am appointment to have labor induced. Around 1 am she started feeling contractions. She said they were pretty mild and said I should get more sleep. At around 3:30 she said 'Let's go!'

We arrived at the hospital at 3:45, just as I pulled up to the Emergency entrance, her water broke. yup,.. in the Aviator.

I grabbed wheel chair and rolled her in. I had to run back out to get my daughter Alicia, and get the truck out of Ambulance lane.

By the time I got to the maternity ward, my wife was already screaming. The nurse told me a foot was coming out!

By the time the doctor got there the nurses had delivered my 8 lb. breach baby, the nurse even preformed the epiziotomy (sp?)

There was a scare, the baby's head and arm were stuck. They got the baby out and she didn't cry or make any noise. The nurse cleared her airway and gave chest compressions. My wife said "Oh God, please let my baby cry" with that Isabel took a deep breath then started crying. :bows:

Here cord delivered before her head, and it was all wrapped around her.

Also, they thought they may have injured the baby when they were pulling her out. X-ray revealed no problems and she seems to be able move her limbs with no problem.

Even though that could've been a disaster, my baby is alert, and seems to be completely fine thanks to those delivery nurses!

Thanks Y'all !

It looks like Mom & Izzy will be home in the morning. Big sister Alicia (she'll be 2 in Sept.) doesn't seem too crazy about the new arrival. I'm sure she'll get used to her. :D Alicia pointed at her and said 'cat'... maybe has something to do with all that hair!

Thanks again for the good wishes! We appreciate it!

CONGRATULATIONS Little girls have a way of getting your attention right away. She looks like a little angel. Ginny was a difficult delivery OB nurse for 4 years--those gals are great when the chips are down. Now, get your feet back on the ground and help Mom out with the 2 year old--she'll become very attached to the little one--it sometimes takes a little time. Just love them and they will fill your lives with a lot of joy. Keep us posted --now get some sleep:) Maury

Congratulations! Two daughters! Little girls are so adorable. I see very grey hair in your future :D . One question - Have you figured out what's causing these things yet? Apparently my wife did, oh say, 15 years ago! Best of luck with your "Drama Queen". Best of health to Mom, and the rest< could be used as a verb also.

Enjoy,

J

Good job, Tom!

...Looks like no sleep for you for a few years. Enjoy them while you can. My kids are in their teens now and I wish they were babies again...

I came out feet first and tangled up, and sorta turned out all right...

Congrats!
