Time to put the Moses Effect to work again heheheh..

Should be leaving Atlanta/Norcross, somwhere between 4:30pm-6pm, heading to Hartford, CT area. 85 to 95, to Garden State to 84............ My record is right around
14 hours.

Occasion: My sister inlaw had twins recently and I'm the Godfather to one of the girls (Guess they did not trust me for both:D )

If you are out on those roads, give a honk! Given my extended families affinity for Black Jack, we may wind up at one of those joints down in the lower right hand corner of the state Saturday nite!

I am 'zactly 600 miles north of Norcross, GA. Looks like you'll be passing me about 10 hours into the trip. That has you passing by my place between 2:30 - 4:00 AM. Ya'll be real quiet, OK !!

Have a good and safe trip !! Watch out for VA State Police and their "slick top" cruisers.

Not sure if this route is longer, quicker or what, but last week drove to NY via 84. I took 85s to 77n to 81n to 84. 84 starts at wilkes-barre. No tolls and very nice drive. 850 or so miles to NY Thruway.

Opps - one toll - Beacon bridge.

Thanks jgc:coolman: Blue I'll try to keep her in high gear to minimize the burble......:burnout: if ya know what I mean lol. If there are any VA State patrol on the board here....A pass through your lovely state would be much appreciated:baaa:

Santa- I was thinking of going that way, but when I did my calculations it seemed a little longer to get to the Tappan Zee in NY. I'll recalculate and see. Knowing my math skills I could be off by a few here and there.

Do you take 84 into Conn? No need for Tappen Zee bridge.

Once you are on 84 - it is about 150 miles to Conn boarder.

Have a safe trip. I've made that same drive a few times.

You'll be happy to hear the construction on I-91 through Hartford is finally done!!!

Thanks for the info. Tallboy. I may go back via rte91 to 95 & the GW Bridge, just for the memories of living in NYC.......... Thinking of going the way Santa suggested on the way up, but a little leary of getting stuck behind trucks on a two lane highway, when they are in both lanes trying to negotiate hills and such. This is just a quick in and out, so speed & distance have to optimal lol..........If you know what I mean<chuckle>
