Hey, don't knock it. My husband put 100,000 miles on his Festiva commuting 60 miles each way and DID give it away when he was finished with it.

I wrecked my '81 Cutlass years ago when I hit a telephone pole with the passenger front wheel. For the two months it took to get that unibody fixed, I bought a '77 Dodge Dart for $300, put basic liability insurance on it, and then sold it for $200 when I got my car back.
