Sorry, this one is for the '04 CVPI

What's interesting is they've borrowed from the Marauder for it. airbox and now optional 3.55:1 rear gears

Another item that's new, and might help some here who have been concerned about low voltages especially at idle, is a high output 200 amp alternator. 132 amps at idle.
Maybe Jefferson can get a part number.

2 interesting things I noticed:

1). States specifically that it has fail-safe cooling (Does the DOHC not have it?)

2). Lists an oil pressure gauge (real or fake?)

The Crown Vic has a n oil pressure guage but it is not as fancy as the Autometer one in the MM.

Notice the Blue is gone and Red is added. Not much has changed from 2003 300B, but we're back to 2004 300A

but we're back to 2004 300A

That's because it's the first model of the new production year.

All of Ford/Mercury oil pressure gauges are phoney from everything I've seen.
Hey RC,Does it say in there how to order my Supercharged Silver Marauder? I'd sure hate to have to drive up there and have a talk with the management in person.

Give me either year MM with the following, Trilogy's supercharger, the 200 amp alternator (which could work with underdrive pulies?), and the laminated side glass (to protect my fun ride). In fact, strobe lights would be cool, too.

RC My 2000 GM with the handling package had an open 3.55 rear that was part of that option. John

john, Yours must have been an early one. They haven't offered the 3.55 for a few years, and the only CV as far as I can tell was the CVPI. They've just reintroduced it to the PI with the '04 year, but it isn't available on the '04 CV or GM. The PIs have optional trac-lock (limited slip)

I'm curious about the security glass. The description makes it sound like it's darker tinted as well

'99 to '01 CVs and GMs with the Handling and Performance package had a conventional 3.55 rear.

A 2004 CVPI w/3.55 rear cannot get adjustable pedals. Who thought this combo up?!

Gears cost about $180, Speedo gear $15. You can easily put in what you like. Add another $250 for a Trac Lok. Add $400 for a Metal Matrix Composite driveshaft and longer tailshaft housing.

The Marauder comes with a Trac Lok 3.55 and Traction Control. That's a great combination!

******************

I'm happy that the Marauder has a 2004 order guide. Disappointed that there are not any decent improvements being made to any of the Panthers. Ford is just letting them ride for another year.

They could easily squeeze more power, out of our 4.6's w/o loosing fuel economy. It's about time for variable cam timing.

If the 2004 F150 launch goes well, followed by the 2005 Mustang launch, a few years later they may pass some tech our way.

Not that it matters, but out of curiosity I looked up old Order Guides
Only 2000 CV and GMs had a 3.55:1 conventional rear with the HPP package. Previous and post years were 3.27

Police Interceptors had 3.55 conventiona or optional locker in '99 and 2000. Previous and after were 3.27

I verified this with a 2001 CV with the Handling and Performance package. Code X5= 3.27 open. Thanx for the correction RC.

RC - My 2000 GM was built 1/26/00. The window sticker states 3.55 Non locker rear. That was part of the handling package. John

Yes John, that's what I posted /\ there
Only 2000 CV and GMs had a 3.55:1 conventional rear with the HPP package
2000 was the only year for that on "civilian" cars according to the old order guides
