Wifey is looking for a new ride. Just don't know which one '07 Edge, '06 AWD Harley or the '06 Stang. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Is she a car person ?.

Would she be concerned about gas mileage ?.

Do you have children ?.

The truck or the Stang is hands down the cool way to go .... the truck being the winner if you have kids(space).

But the cold reality will probably be that crossover thingie.

You are correct Sir, The mustang will get the no due to limited space, the Harley with gas prices as it is will get a no, that fugly crossover thing will be the practical way to go.

Just a odd comparison Sports car vs Full size Truck vs Lunch box with wheels??

Apples, oranges, and lemons.

We looked when they first came out. FMC had them in our plant without the 'sales' pressure. Though she liked it, she wanted something different.

The Stang is most likely out due to the fact that we are going to park the Marauder in the winter. So it doesn't do good to have two vehicles that are iffy at best in the snow. She really likes the Harley and has speced out an Edge. So we'll see once she makes up her mind  .

I prefer the Stang but it's 'her' vehicle. I got my play toy.

Did you know that the 2007 Stang GT can be had with dual power AND heated front seats?

Freestyle x2. Got an '06 Silver Frost version of Bluerauder's for the wife, and have had only 2 problems thus far:

1) Had to have the rotors machined due to warpage---think it happened during the flash floods out here at the end of April.

2) At 3000 mi, the computer thinks the oil needs changing (we've been informed by multiple wrenches and dealers that the Duratec can actually go for 5000), and has been flashing error messages at us. Not serious...just keep resetting it.

The Freestyle is a comfortable ride and has some good space inside. We're looking forward to the day we can actually get it on an interstate tho....

I think that the oil change schedule in the computer is based on clock date. It counts down from an approximate 90 day schedule and assumes that you are driving an average of 12K to 16K per year. So, each quarter equates to about 3,000 to 4,000 miles.

My oil reading was at 48% when I picked it up with 15 miles on it. So, the clock was ticking even sitting on the lot.

Lots of good info over on the Freestyle site. >>> http://www.myfordfreestyle.com
