Is it just my car or are these trannies always searching around? My car is bone stock and I think the trans is weird. First off it does not always go into reverse when it is shifted into it,I think this is just a linkage adjustment. But when driving down the road if I tap the OD off then put it back on it does not go back into OD promptly,like every other ford I've owned. I wonder if an aftermarket tune would correct this?

Oh Hell Yes. Transmission shifting from the factory is horrible. Order and Xcalibrator2 with tune from Lidio or Dennis R. You'll also gain a few horsies down low, and the shirfts will go from soft and mushy to crisp and quick.
