That is so cool, congrats!

I've got my original copy of my Car and Driver centerfold. And not just a copy that came with the car, but my subscription copy where I first read about the #1x car, and later came to own it.

National mags/rags, eh? Go figure. Most people espouse a dislike for them, but that set aside, it's nice to earn the respect of the industry, in a nation-wide publication. At the time, 1.4 million readers got to read about my #1x Marauder, including me. No one else here can ever say that.

The #1x Marauder may be considered (as it has been called) "junk" by others here, but I think that's just sad that they take the time to do so in such an overt manner. But, it beats the Hell out of a one-line mention in an obsecure speciality mag, that they can never hope to win for themselves on their own merit.

I got warned by Bill Karrow (former owner and MENSREA here) that buying the #1x would forever change my status among the MM.Net readers.

He was 100 percent right.

Congrats are due, but now...You asked for it. Come share the wealth in national attention, and the disdain of our community.

It's how they are...

We have a very nice young man rightfully proud of the national coverage of his fabulous MM and his thread is where you have to post this kind of :bs: . I am way to new and so is he know what the origin of the conflict is and I doubt either of us cares. I know it has no place here. It seems that if you have something to say use your own thread. JEEZ.....RR/suki starts a thread about his car in a national magazine and it devolves into a pissing match within a few posts!....:shake:

Congrats on your Marauder being in Motor Trend!
I'm going to go buy an issue to check it out.

Your car is historically signifcant, Mac. All the Kenny Brown cars have the unique distinction of coming out of his shop, but yours is the prototype car, the one upon which the others were based and a lot of the foundations for other shops to build on were proven on your car. That's a fact.

I like to think it'll wind up in a museum some day. Or at least some appeciative collectors garage.

Let's hope the new owner can tell the difference between kerosene and gasoline.:)

Actually I didn't. I turned in my "Leased" black MM for the purchase of a newer silver one. I was going to buy out my lease but got such a good deal on a new that it was cheaper to buy the new than it was to lease the old. I didn't have a "great published" car to start with.

Don't jump down my throat. It was a nice thread about the VT Mm and it was highjacked by someone talking about their car. I just pointed out a fact. The car is for sale now if someone wants to buy it. And you are right. You don't know. So leave it alone. :) BTW, congrats to both.

since this I have improved alot if I may say so myself. other than the engine and blower work I lowered her, got rid of those massive wheels and as soon as the res deletes get here I'll be fixing the tips (which are currently not even). this is what she now looks like...
