looking at the crutchfield site, they list several speakers for the rear deck, that they dont list for the front doors. I looked at some of the top mount depths and some of the ones they list for the front door and deeper than some of the ones for the rear deck....

anyone talk with them about the Alpine Type R speakers in the front door? they should fit, but not sure. Anyone who got under the door skins, let us know how much room is in there?

Any value to cross-referrence with CV applications?

Just a thought...

2 1/2" in front doors. be sure to keep the wiring harness adapter zip tied to the speaker basket as the xtra wire length will might interfer with the window as it goes down. also need to cut the 4 screws that hold the speaker to the plastic basket to 1/2 their length otherwise the plastic basket will bow out as you tighten them. i held each screw in a screw cutter and then dremmeled the end down evenly smooth. do a search on speakers, a lot of good info. do get 6" x 8" with poly cones as they will last longer. also careful of tweeter placement as when you close the doors the front edge is in the door jam - so keep the tweeter part towards the rear if a 3 way speaker.
