I'm still working with my dealer on a MM but I asked him to find me one in silver . He went on the Ford computerized vehicle locator system and he claims that he can't find one in all of Canada.
Has any body even seen s Silver MM in Canada yet?
It seems hard to believe as they're made in this country!

When I finnaly got to order mine (300A) the options were very limited and there were no color choices. But now your own dealer should be able to order you the silver. In Canada the Maurader is very limited because they don't want to promote the Mercury brand name up here. Here in Alberta only 18 cars were delivered to dealers.

I was told by my dealer that there was only 500 for the whole of Canada. He said any dealership that requested one got one, and one only. 5 dealers in the Windsor/Essex county had them and they were all Black. I think you may be S.O.L.
My dealer sent a guy up to St. Thomas to make sure he got mine, then he knocked 2G's off the price for the 280 or so clicks that were on it. Pretty sweet deal I thought.
If you need it, I can get you a PIN # for the Ford "friends and Family" plan, which isn't quite A plan but will save you some coin.
PM me or e-mail yorks@canada.com

From what it looks like in the Order Guide for Canada, only Black and Blue are available. Your dealer should be able to phone someone at Ford and get a straight answer form a real person rather than just what's printed or on a computer screen.
Since they do make silver Marauders, he may be able to order one special

Yes, Sarge.
That came about with the original "Free Trade Agreement" back in '88 I believe

But apparently for someone from the US to purchase in Canada the car has to be a year old and there is some kind of mileage requirement.
People get around it by taking a wholesale lease and getting what I was told was "Zone Z" insurance coverage. You end up driving with the plates from the Province the car was leased in for a year. How it works the other way around i'm not sure

I don't know about a car coming from the U.S. but I buy a new truck every 6 months and then ship it to the U.S. We make about $900.00 to $1200.00 every time because of the dollar differance. The export/free trade law says a car or truck can cross the line if it's at least 6 months old and has 15,000 or more kms. The speedometre also has to be changed. I imagen the rules are the same both ways.

No, I picked up an in-stock car from a local dealership. According to one dealer, picking up a car in the states and shipping north is a PITA. Don't know if I believe him, though. Too late now anyway, I like the deal I got.
