I think we have a winner on the high mileage contest, look at the engine bay and dented fenders, it looks like it had been sitting wrecked for months. I really would like to take the dash trim and throw it in my LX SPORT.

I've seen worse a Marauder with damage fixed like new. The only thing scarey is the milage.

Very Impressive... I don't think it's the least bit depressing.

I'd love to know how this thing picked up 220k in under 3 years.

And I hope mine is still running well enough to hit something when it has 220k on it!

Shoot! My Cougar looked worse after hitting a deer...

It looked like new after the body shop was done with it.

This is a good deal if you are not afraid of the mileage. Just change a bunch of parts and paint and this car is no worse than any other 200,000+ mile ford product...

I would bid if I was in the 'states....

If you enlarge the picture of the dash, the 1st digit looks like it has a zero there....

Could it maybe be 21461 and noe 221461?

I ran a CarFax on it. The mileage is all over the place.

From this accident It doesnt look like it, but I would assume it is gonna need a new motor. I agree that the damage doesnt look bad, but look at the rust on the fenders and around the pulleys on the motor.

Windows XP doesn't support doing that. If anyone knows of a way without downloading a program let me know.

I'm still waiting on CarFax to send the link. I just ran the vin again and still no link but I've had them arrive a day or two late.

That's weird, so does it really have 21xxx miles? And it does say it runs and drives good, so im assuming it does'nt need a motor.

Maybe it had a rearend gear swap and they tried to compensate by turning back the ODO. Judging by the wear of the interior I would say it is a definate high milkeage car.

I would say no since in Feb 2005 it had over 124,000 miles on it. Then in Mar 2005 the mileage drops to 13,536.

I wanna know who the hell would drive a Marauder 221K miles in three years? At the height of driving a tow truck 24/7 I only topped 69K a year running long distance and 24 hours a day. That car probably never cooled off. That is hard mileage and it needed to be retired no matter what.

Registered 11/03/03 so that would have it on the road 33 months.
6,712 miles per month, 1,678 miles a week, 239 miles a day. Give or take.

Looking at 19 MPG give or take that's about 11,657 Gallons of fuel!

So 353 gallons a month, 88 gallons a week, or 12 gallons per day!

I wonder if it was being used as a Taxi/Limo. I was in NYC over Thanksgiving and saw a Marauder being used as a Taxi/Limo just like the way they use Town Cars. Kind of cool to see. My kids were the ones who spotted it. I like the mileage and gas comparision but think too how many sets of tires were used at 15k average set on a MM.

I am keeping an eye on this just in case it stays cheap. I could buy it for my 49 Ford F1 project. I am sure it will exceed 1k but do not think it will hit 5k which is too much for that kind of condition.

You guys ever think of buying beat up MMs as a group to divide up the parts?

If anyone here is interested in buying this MM on ebay please keep me in mind as I am looking for a seat of seat covers (just the leather parts) on the fronts. I will gladly pay for them... IU am woking with a 3rd party vendor who will "digitize" them which would give us a new source for seatr covers in the future. Thanks!
