I'm glad they didn't see the deal I got on my car:D
I've heard of a dealership making a call like that; but actually coming out and taking it? That's crazy.
I'd take my set of keys and drive off w/ it again.

This is the first I've heard of this.

As an investigating officer, I'd be locking someone up. This guys has a legal contract. The vehicle was sold. Period. There was no mention of a tag or plates on the car, but if there was a registration assigned, that would solidify the deal even further.

In my jurisdiction, a Writ of Replevenant could be awarded to the dealer upon showing just cause. This isn't the same as a repo, but allows for the seller to recover property not fully paid for. Furniture rental stores use it all the time, a legal means that gets everyone back to the bargaining table. Absent the Writ, someone's in for a bologna dinner on the county.

I understand it's turkey bologna these days, accomodating the vegitarian auto thief.

......Anyway, I assume the state DMV types that license new car stores there in TN would be all over these guys.
