About a block away from my local L/M dealership is a Ford dealership that is "Blue Oval Certified" so I'm thinking of taking my MM to them for my a/c problem.
I purchased my MM from out of state so there is no "selling dealer" for me to use or to be told to go back to.
Do you think there is much difference between a dealer that is Blue Oval Certified compared to a dealer that isn't?

IMHO...Nope.
Prolly means more for their used car inventory than their craftsmanship in the repair shop.

Actually Punisher, Sgt. Mac is accurate in mentioning the used car inventory issue.
Blue Oval has requirements that measure how many Preowned Fords go through the certification process at a Blue Oval Dealer....... If the dealer does not meet the ratio for CPO to Preowned sold, they run the risk of loosing Blue Oval status. I beleive Sgt. Probably mentioned this as the primary qualification, because this is whatthe Blue Oval Ford Dealers focus on most to keep their status once they achieve this ranking.

i didnt think mac meant it in that sense...,i was under the impression he was speaking of the quality of the used cars....i.e. they passed a thousand point check list so to speak....almost like a factory certified used car....i work for a blue oval dealer and when our renewals come up i never hear anyone speak of the whole new vs used car thing you mentioned...mostly concentrate on customer satisfaction, product knowledge etc....

Interesting Punisher.......... I say this because when I worked for the 2 Volvo dealers here In Atlanta, all they harped about was Ratiosof Certified Volvo's to Noncertified, and Certified to "other" and yes CSI.
Volvo is under the Ford umbrella, so I was thinking Ops. ran pretty much the same way.
Maybe Ford really is more about the customer experience, or maybe its just expected to be that way at a mid/highline dealer. hmmmm.
Thanks for the insight. I learn more about where I worked, not working there....
