What is the generally recommended interval to change out the copper sparkplugs in a supercharged engine, is there a set time/mileage or just check them every so often for wear?

IMHO, close visual inspection on a regular basis, first thing to check when troubleshooting a miss or stumble under power. There isn't a car out there where this is so easy to do as regular maintenence.
I'm not familiar with the spark plug you mention, but the Denso IT22s I use have a 60K mile life expectancy.

But be sure to use anti seize on the threads. Or else. (helicoil could be needed!

ok...I was reluctant to reply since I do not have a blower...
But I feel the S/C doesn't really matter in this situation.
I change my cooler Motorcrafts (ditched the over priced densos long ago) every 10k.
Point to note in my case...it takes me roughly 16 months or more to rack 10k at a time.
$33.50 from the DEALER.

It may be overkill, but every spring the Marauder and Mustangs get fresh plugs, oil filter, and Mobil 1 synthetic. I change the trans fluid every 10k miles. I agree with Barry, helps me sleep better. I may put anywhere from 2500 to 5000 miles a year on the cars now by spreading the miles around to them all...

Finally got her into the shop for a checkup and put a new set of Motorcraft AGSF22C plugs, took care of a few leaks with the skillful tightening of some fittings, and gave it another oil change. I was only able to make a quick testdrive but it feels like the stumbling on hard accel is gone and the traction control got a good workout when I punched it from a roll. The old plugs looked ok but one thing we noticed was the gap on every one was smaller that the specified .035 ranging from .028 to .032. Is it possible that there was some detonation going on that caused the gap to decrease? I don't know.
Tomorrow I will be getting the aux trans cooler installed and the trans flushed and this saturday the methanol injection is going in... then the fun begins.
This has to qualify as an addiction!

Yes, I did the connectors a couple months ago, never really noticed a difference with them though.

Is it possible that there was some detonation going on that caused the gap to decrease?I've never heard of detonation causing the plug gap to change...are you SURE they were gapped accurately when they were installed? Did the installer use one of those circular gauge/gappers that looks like a quarter with a ramp around the edge? IMHO a wire-type gauge is the only way to go for repeatable accuracy...

I changed mine at 15K miles running with the blower and they looked as new with the gap right at .032"-.035"!!
I plan to change them every 3rd oil change (15K miles) since it is easy to remember and will give me peace of mind but from what I saw they would probably last 30-40K.....
Why chance a problem when it takes all of 30 minutes or so to put new ones in and only about $10.00 for the ones I use??
