I picked up a bottle of Turtle Wax "Color Cure" at Pep Boys since I had a nasty rock chip in the nose (the car's nose, not mine  ) and a scratch on the lower door (I drive 90 miles a day). It comes with a black wax crayon for filling in gouges and black-colored liquid wax.
The stuff works pretty well. The chip in the front end is now invisible. I'd definitely recommend it if your 'Rauder is getting a little banged up from the highway.

Does work nice on chips which this car seems to get everytime I take it out for a ride.

I have been doing the same on the rock chips and it works great, used it on the rocker panel on the sides where the tires chip and it covers great.

used it for the first time on tuesday, and it did a pretty good job. although when your looking, you find even more chips and scratches that break your heart:(

I should be receiving my front car cover any day now and I will let everyone know how it fits, looks and quality that went into the workmanship....

I've found that it reduces the visibility of scratches, but doesn't completly cover them.

Mark - Is that a temporary fix and how long does it last. Thanks John

Absolutely, a must have! I wrote my name on my Reinhart chip with the crayon and I got 7 HP and 12 lbs of torque at the rear wheels!
Okay...sorry...I'll go now...

Don't know, first time I tried it. It can't be permanent - it's just wax filler. Cheaper than the body shop though!

Anything has to be better than that "touch-up paint". When I bought my black '97 T-Bird (used), it was polka-dotted from terrible touch-up applications all over the front end.
The best thing to happen to that car was that a deer ran into the front fender area and I got a new hood, bumper, and quarter panel. The car looked like new. (The deer was ok, too.)

I've used the Turtle Wax stuff, too. It does cover pretty well, but the first high-pressure washing will take it out. Not hard to reapply though.

Any car wash -- self-serve with sprayer or the drive through "Laser Wash" type (no brushes of course).

When I had a rock chip on the hood of my new MM, the dealer's body shop applied the touch-up paint with a very fine brush, not those nail polish brushes the paint usually comes with. The paint was applied so carefully, the chip was still recessed, but black; the paint wasn't "blobbed" on. After it dried, they applied a couple of coats of good wax to it. They were kind enough to do this for me gratis.
I keep it clean and waxed and you have to hunt to find the chip almost 6 months later.
