Under the crap modifications, there is a "Zhiguli" VAZ 2104. "Zhiguli" is the nickname - meaning little mouse - given by the Russians to one of their most popular car. 2104 is the poetic identification of this model on the local russian market. VAZ identifies the plant where it comes from. These cars were copied on the former FIAT 124, through a Joint-Venture agreement signed between the Soviets and FIAT. All that was sold under the name "LADA" on some markets. I sometimes drove these cars when I was in Moscow. Two words : funny and indestructible.
