I think it was staged.

The cameraman would normally have kept the camera on them and not the driver looking for the bat. I doubt most men would have sent their gf to go and get a camera from guys he is holding a gun too.

They did not appear mad when the guy drove off with their camera and keys.

I did not see any anger on the entire video.
