...and will be installed next week. The garage has to clear another vehicle first. Ford's response time to my request? In 24hrs that engine was at the garage. That's what I'm talk'n 'bout!:bows:

Is this a warranty replacement motor? I hope you didn't pay for a stock Cobra motor with hypertutectic pistons, especially if you've got the Eaton S/Cer.

What MY is this SVT Cobra engine and how much boost will you aim for? The Cobra engine for '03-'04 is an 8.5:1 CR and it's going to need some more ooomph.

Hey Mac,

According to Ford, they had two part numbers for the '03 and '04, but later dropped the '04 part number. However, all of the new engines are of the upgraded design. I'm not sure what the boost will be until we can get it in the car. I'm expecting for it to start at 15psi. It has a custom set of interchangable pullies that will make up to 28psi, but I doubt that I can flow that kind of fuel. We'll have to wait and see. These boost figures are for the 8.5:1 compression. We have a mustang here that makes 700hp with the same setup. I think that they will tune mine to 600hp. Again, It's too early to speculate. Alot of work was done to make the numbers and keep it bulletproof.

Sounds like you are on top of things with a plan for the lower CR, I must have missed some details over time. Best wishes on the upgrade.

Great news G! Glad to hear that things are finally going well for you. Best of luck with your new motor build...BTW, got my new SW long tube headers delivered to my house. Can't to see them when I get home on the 28th.

Hey G-man,

Any update on the Cobra engine install??

Also what was the final word on our "friends" at Sean Hyland Robbersport??

Did they ever make good on the switcheroo/junk engine?

I remember this thread when you posted, I missed the talk about the 28psi setup, I need to do some research didn't realize you could push the eaton units that high. Did you get the eaton unit ported?

Good seeing you @ Hooters a few weeks ago. It was nice having you in my rear view for the ride home. Good luck with the motor swap. Sounds very interesting, this set up. I can't wait to see it.
