This is not something that you want to see when you own four FoMoCo products. I was a little reluctant to open the letter -- hoping that it was not for the Marauder or the new 2006 Freestyle.
Turns out that it was for the '95 E150 Conversion Van that we got rid of some 8 months ago when we picked up the Freestyle. Safety recall is for the Cruise Control overheating and possibly causing a fire. Doesn't matter whether the car is running or not or even if the cruise control is activated or not.
Recall applies to 1994-2002 F-250/350/450/550, 1994-1996 E150/250/350, 1996-2002 E-450, 2000-2002 Excursion, 1998 Explorer and Mountaineer.
Never experienced a problem with my E150 van. Guess I was lucky.
