Watts linkage?

Hi, I'm going to start this post by saying that I'm a GM guy, but I think that Marauders are cool cars...anyways, on to the point of my post, I'm curious if any of you have any pictures of the watts linkage rear suspension used in the big Ford sedans? Is this system also used in the Marauder, I honestly know nothing about it, but I'm very interested in it. Thanks for anything you can provide, I appreciate it.

The watts linkage has been used in all panther platform (CV/GMQ/TC/MM) cars starting in the 98 MY. It uses two arms, one on each side, mounted perpendicular to the frame. The two arms meet on a pivot point on the rear axle. THis allows the suspension to move freely up and down, without pushing the axle to the side and provding a smoother ride than track/panhard bar setups. The setup reduces side-to-side rear axle movement for better tracking on highway/high-speed and cornering.

You might try "Googling" Watts Linkage. I think it was first employed on Australian horse drawn wagons 150 years ago.
