I went down for a quick, last minute weekend visit to the ATL. I found a Mopar that I have been looking for quite some time. She's a '66 Belvedere II with a 440 4bbl transplant.
This is the first car I owned when I was in high school, only better (I had a 318 cu. in. then).
Now I just have to figure out how to check this through with my luggage! :D Actually I plan on bringing this car back to NY this fall when I bring my Burgundy Fox car back. I will truck them up together.
More pictures will follow. I didn't bring a camera with me and I had to borrow one to get these pictures.
I cruised around in her all weekend and I just couldn't help but feel bad ass!! :D

Marty, between you and TAF I don't know who I want to live vicariously through. TAF for all the sweet rides he gets to work on or you for the sweet rides you own. :shake:

I was in Atlanta, too, came up Friday and left Sunday afternoon. I wish you had come to the Marauder breakfast with the new ride! Or brought it along to the Canton car show.
Not to mention, I bought at Pappasitos Saturday night.:D

NICE CAR !
I really like that body style ! Are you going to leave it with the 440 or are tempted by a crate 426?

While you were eating breakfast, I was turning my pockets inside out to find money for this car!
We were going to cruise out to Canton, but we finished our work day too late.
I will see you soon Donny, you can count on that.

That was the discussion of weekend. I think I will driver her with the 440 for a while and then see how I feel. The Hemi crate is tempting not because I am going to race her (because that is unlikely), but because that would move "bad ass" to the tenth power!!

Most excellent!
My son is an avid reader of Mopar Collector's Guide, and he will be drooling over this fine machine.

all you'll need to do is powder your hair a nice blue gray, put on some wire rim specticals, a nice straw hat with a few flowers and throw a hand knitted shaw over your shoulders.
Then cruise for suckers.....

Well.. and I am sure you know... they make crate Hemis much larger than the 426.... 572 comes to mind... :bows:
Really, there is no need, as that car is just sweet to start with. Were it mine I might be tempted to put some rims on it and that would be all it "needs" IMHO. The rest would be indulgence.... but trust me... there are plenty of us here with ideas that would help you spend YOUR money ! :D
In any event.... love the car !

Dad had a Plymouth GTX when I was a kid. Had the 440, cherry bombs, Holley 4 barrel. Those 440s melt tires. Enjoy!

Indeed, a strong contender. I also thought of MO PAR 66 (since "MOPAR" is likely taken). I have to spend some time on the NYS DMV site playing with tag combinations. All suggestions are welcome and I appreciate yours Mac!

Okay Mac, now you got me wasting my time on the DMV website. :D
I forgot that a lot of my "MO" plates required me to phone in and explain the plates so that they could certify that there was nothing derogatory about the plate. Looks like I will have to do that again.
I have a few weeks before the car comes up to live in NY, so I am open to suggestions. Mac and Donny's are both top contenders, but I am open to suggestions. bring 'em on boys.

Well Mac, your plate was a very strong runner up, but I didn't go with it. I did get MOPAR66.
It runs well with the plates I have on my other cars and I am pretty happy! :D

How about SLOW MO????
j/k :) Awesome car, great sleeper. A hemi crate would be nice, I heard some of those are VERY steep in price...upwards of 20k for just the crate motor!
Still, that's an awesome car!
How about NoMo  Like what your girl friend is telling you.:pimp: or your reply OneMo

For now I will likely stick with the 440 4 bbl that is in it. And then as time goes on i can make changes (like when I do the 4 speed conversion for which I have all of the parts).
