The '07 models will have DVD navigation available as an option. I want one.

But, retrofitting is questionable and expensive.

But, there's this:

This is specifically designed for the F-150, and is plug an play. I've seen the installation instructions, and you literally plug it into the harness for the radio. This replaces the dash package tray. Installation is like 20 minutes.

This is fine, but not as clean a look as a touch screen. Also, the control buttons are a bit of a reach for the driver.

Watcha think?

Looks close enough to factory for me, Donnie. I like it! :)

I've heard -- unverified -- that it can be retrofitted, but the cost is stunningly high...

better off with aftermarket Navi units. This thing looks like a monstrosity! Ought to eb able to do soemthign nice in the OEM location, with touch screen on the fly.

I think it looks out of place. Why not go with an aftermarket unit like Eclipse, Pioneer or Kenwood unit. Not only do they do navigation, they can also do satellite radio, DVD, MP3, TV, monitor for back up camera, touch screen control just to name a few. I think it's even better than the factory unit. I have the Pioneer AVIC-D1 and absolutely love it.

I just put an AVIC D1 in an F150. Perfect fit with a metra kit and metra harness.
