Well, this just sucks. I have a cd stuck in the in-dash player and it will not come out. Every time I hit the eject button it says "no cd" but then it will start the cd over again at track 1 and play it like normal. I know this sounds like a lame problem compared to most but I'm just curious if anyone has had this problem before, esp. since this stereo isn't unique to just the MM's, right?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Most cd players are at the top of the device and removing
the top cover you can simply lift it out..

Slip the player out of the dash and take the top off. try to put another CD in while the player is out of the dash...if it does it again its time for a new player.

How do I "slip the player out of the dash"? Is there a special tool for this?

Yes, it is a DIN radio removal tool, two u-shaped pieces that slip into the holes on either side of the unit. Putting it back in is the real PITA due to all the connectors behind the unit. If you can't get it working let me know, I may be able to help with a replacement unit.

Thanks for the offer. If I can't get it fixed it may be a good excuse to upgrade to something with more capabilities (minus a tape deck).

Too bad the automotive cd players aren't like computer cd rom's. I know on cd drives if the tray won't come out, there is a little hole that you can shove a paper clip end in and push a button and wallah! Out comes the tray with your cd.

You can get the DIN radio removal tools at most auto parts stores or Walmart. In a pinch you can use 8 or 10 penny nails (4).

mine just did the same thing.. i was told to put something flat in there and try to press the cd up/down while hitting the eject button. so i figured what better to use than another cd. (a bum cd that didnt burn right, so it was worthless anyway) while i was doing that, it sucked that cd into the deck too! so now i had 2 disks in the headunit. i hit eject, and wouldtn you know it, it shot the bad cd out, then shot the good cd out..
thats how i got mine out, i dont know if that is a good reliable way to get it out or not..
I had another aftermarket do that to me.
I read the operating directions, it addressed this issue.
Instead of just pushing the eject button, try holding it down.
My unit continuedly tried to eject, it worked.
Let me knoe if it worked.

Any '03-'05 GM,CVor MM radio will work. I had this happen in my aunt's '01 Windstar. I just took a flat metal ruler to pry it up and a pair of tiny needle nose to snatch it out. The disc got ruined, but the player worked fine after that.

Tried holding button down for several seconds, nothing happened.
Tried gently putting upward pressure with a 6" steel rule underneath disc and repeatedly hit the eject button, still nothing happened.
