I heard Jaques Nasser was leading a Group of LBO specialists looking at taking Jag and Land Rover Private. More hope for those brands if that happens then for Ford with their present thinking.
Nasser works for either JP Morgan, or or Morgan Stanley.... Lots of $$ Connections.

Well, not to mention the many Millions of $$$ he personally bled from Ford in the form of his Golden Parachute! Nasser is a fool. He may understand money, but he doesn't understand automobiles.

If you look at any other business that size, the CEO always has a Golden Parachute that is to the tune of a small country's national economy. That is not what put Ford on the skids. Maybe he had a hand in the demise of Ford (the way Clinton had an effect on the Bush Administration). I can not dispute that as I did not follow Ford that closely as a company in the 90's (Can you say "Tech Boom":D ).
All I can say is that Bill Ford is inept. While his intentions are good, he knows nothing about labor, brand management, cache', or manufacturing. He has a goldmine of history in the Ford ranks, he has very bright engineers that need to be focused on what People will buy, and he has brand names that were desireable at one time.
I think Nasser with some Wall St. types behind him could take the Jag & Rover Brands and make them work. if they do, what does that say about Ford...........
Best regards,
