I got a couple of packages today...

Opened the big one and found 8 of these custom CP big bore pistons with special wrist pin location to fit 6" rods and a stroker crank, dished 16cc to make 9.5:1 CR. Dry-film lube coated skirts and ceramic coated tops:

Opened the smaller one and got 8 of these custom Pauter cross-beam billet rods:

Look closely and see the EDM machined oil hole from big end to wrist pin and also see the groove machined around the wrist pin bushing and squirt hole at the top of the wrist pin.

A smaller package contained these hardened nickel/bronze valve seats for oversize intake and exhaust valves:

I had planned to use beryllium/copper but they aren't available as a standard product for the 32V, custom ones are about $25 each with a 4-week lead time: these are adequate.

Hopefully this DSS girdle (main support system) will help keep it all together:

Couple of other items I haven't taken pics of yet are the oversize valves, the stroker crank, and the (very impressive) Darton wet sleeves for a big-bore.

I'm getting concerned that it's not going to be ready in time for SSHS6.

Those Rods & Pistons look badazz!

Let me know how your D.S.S. girdle works out, as Modular Performance had some trouble getting mine to work.
I wasn't there to see my engine build, but I think that they had to grind/clearance the girdle in the dipstick area.

I'm trying. Wednesday I pickup the crank, block, and main caps to take along with the pistons, wrist pins, rings, rods, main caps and studs over to the cryo shop. The crank, wrist pins, and rods will get cryo-treated then REM polished. The pistons, block, main caps, studs, and rings get cryo-treated. The block gets painted with thermal disperant treatment. Hopefully next week I can take it back to the machine shop for short block assembly.

MMR oil pump and Canton windage tray are on order, should be here this week. Balancer/pulley is here and ready to go over for balancing. Waiting for the SFI flexplate that was backordered, hopefully it will be here next week. Bearings and seals still gotta be ordered but they should be readily available.

Heads have me more concerned than the shortblock.

Jesus Brian, Im impressed.
Modify your stock marauder pan for increased oiling capacity.
I wouldnt even mess with an aftermarket model.

Not yet, I'll probably have to stay with my current ProCharger for awhile. Unless I get a seriouslin interested buyer soon. I'm gonna get Tim to try and talk Jim Bell into putting together a 2.6 L Mach1 kit. Since I'll have more displacement I think I can use the additional blower capacity.
